Casework Support
Training. Cybergenetics offers training courses for forensic scientists in its TrueAllele® Casework DNA computer interpretation technology. Cybergenetics structures the courses around actual laboratory workflows and processes. Students receive extensive hands-on TrueAllele computer problem solving training for representative DNA case situations. Cybergenetics offers the following training courses:
- Science and Software: basic training for simple cases and the underlying science
- Solving Cases: operator courses for comfort through practical experience with more complex cases
- Reporting Course: preparation for writing case reports, court and testifying
- All TrueAllele training courses have testing and certification components
Support. Cybergenetics offers ongoing user support to trained TrueAllele analysts. Cybergenetics also provides ongoing user support groups including:
- TrueAllele User Seminars including scheduled webinars
- TrueAllele Review Sessions, one-hour web based support sessions
- User support for integrating TrueAllele into the laboratory workflow processes
- Trained responsive staff who can answer questions about the software and science
- Annual maintenance and support service including software upgrades
Validation. Cybergenetics provides scientific validation services to forensic crime laboratories for the TrueAllele technology. Cybergenetics can also provide validation services to crime laboratories wishing to validate other systems. Cybergenetics has more than 20 years experience validating computer automated interpretation of STR data. Validation services can be customized. Basic validation services include:
- Validation planning of scientific studies including the type of data to be used
- Providing tools to help speed up the validation process
- Customized validation services
- Providing documentation and support
