Cybergenetics addresses PCAST in Washington
Cybergenetics Dr. Mark Perlin attended a closed discussion of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) in the White House Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB) on Friday, November 18th.
Dr. Perlin's short talk on "Transparency in DNA Evidence" responded to the PCAST report Forensic Science in Criminal Courts: Ensuring Scientific Validity of Feature-Comparison Methods, identifying errors in facts and findings. In the discussion, he disagreed with a proposed project, scientifically rejecting it as unnecessary and wasteful.
