AAFS talk on Pinkins exoneration

On February 16th at the AAFS meeting in New Orleans, Professor Fran Watson and Dr. Mark Perlin co-presented the TrueAllele exoneration of Darryl Pinkins and Roosevelt Glenn. These two Indiana men were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for a crime they did not commit.

Exculpatory DNA evidence existed fifteen years ago, but older mixture interpretation methods failed. TrueAllele computing on the same DNA data revealed exclusionary results that proved their innocence. This short YouTube talk describes the case, and explains how better science led to better justice.
