Cybergenetics TrueAllele DNA mixture analysis helps convict Virginia man of armed robbery

City of Chesapeake, VA

A Virginia man was tried for armed robbery, where key evidence included a three person DNA mixture found on a jacket. Based on TrueAllele® computer analysis, Cybergenetics Dr. Mark Perlin testified that a match between the jacket and Mr. Keith Sampson was 414 billion times more probable than coincidence. Mr. Sampson was convicted on all counts, and sentenced to 26 years in prison.
