Abstract

Mixtures contain DNA from multiple people, and can be difficult for human scientists to analyze. Computer mixture interpretation can obtain more information from the same evidence. Cybergenetics TrueAllele® technology has been used in Allegheny County criminal trials to interpret DNA mixtures. Several cases will be presented in this CLE program; crimes include sexual assault and homicide. For each case, a prosecutor will introduce the DNA evidence, and Dr. Perlin will describe what the computer found.
