TrueAllele connects suspects to piece of glove at crime scene
| Crime | On October 10, 2018, bodies of a father and his 14-year-old daughter were found in a burned rental car in a vacant lot. Other evidence showed that they had been tortured prior to being killed. |

| DNA | The Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory created DNA mixture data from the evidence. |
| Match | The lab was able to use their in-house TrueAllele system to identify a different suspect as the major contributor to the mixture. However, the lab was not able to report the match statistic between the minor mixture contributor and the defendant. |
| TrueAllele | The computer found that a match between the glove and the defendant is 182 thousand times more probable than a coincidence, with an error rate of 1 in 3.76 million. TrueAllele also found that a match between the glove and suspect Kodii Gibson is 16.5 octillion (1 followed by 27 zeros) times more probable than a coincidence. |
| Cybergenetics | On March 10, 2022, DNA analyst Jennifer Bracamontes testified before a Cuyahoga County jury about Cybergenetics’ TrueAllele results. |
| Outcome | On March 16, 2022, Newberry was convicted of multiple counts of aggravated murder, kidnapping, and aggravated arson. He was sentenced to life in prison on March 24, 2022. He has the possibility of parole after 65 years. |
