Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v Jaleer Fletcher
TrueAllele connects handgun to murder of 18-year-old
| Crime | On February 17, 2023, police responded to a report of a car crash and found Eriq Morrison suffering from a gunshot wound on the ground next to his vehicle. Surveillance camera footage showed two males running from the crime scene with firearms. |
| Evidence | Investigators collected swabs of the firearms, which the assailants discarded as they were running. |
| DNA | The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Forensic Services generated DNA data from the firearms. |
| Match | The laboratory was unable to interpret the DNA data due to mixture complexity. |
| TrueAllele | On the same data, TrueAllele calculated inclusionary match statistics of 768 billion and 394 thousand between the firearms and suspect Jaleer Fletcher. The computer also statistically included a second suspect to both firearms. |
| Cybergenetics | On November 20, 2025, Cybergenetics analyst Jennifer Bracamontes testified before a Delaware County jury about the TrueAllele DNA results. |
| Outcome | On November 24, 2025, the jury found Mr. Fletcher guilty of second degree murder, robbery, and firearms charges. |
