Search of car leads to felony weapons charges
| Crime | In July and October 2024, county detectives facilitated controlled buys of drugs from suspect Ryan Wright. Using these buys as probable cause, the detectives obtained a warrant to search Wright’s vehicle. In addition to drugs, detectives found loaded firearms in the vehicle. Prior convictions prohibited Wright from possessing firearms. |

| Cybergenetics | On June 23, 2026, Cybergenetics analyst Jennifer Bracamontes testified before a Montgomery County jury about the TrueAllele DNA results. |
| Outcome | On June 24, 2026, the jury found Mr. Wright guilty of felony weapons charges. He faces a possible maximum sentence of 13.5 to 27 years in prison. |
