Crime Police claim to have seen a suspect hide a handgun on the wheel of a truck in downtown Los Angeles. They arrested Travion Anderson on weapons possession charges.

DNA The Los Angeles Police Department Forensic Science Division developed DNA from the firearm swab.
Match The laboratory could not interpret the DNA data due to the complexity of the mixture.
TrueAllele On the same data, TrueAllele statistically excluded Mr. Anderson with a match statistic of around one over four thousand.
Cybergenetics    On May 15, 2025, Cybergenetics analyst Jennifer Bracamontes testified before a United States District Court for the Central District of California jury about the TrueAllele DNA results.
Outcome On May 16, 2025, the Jury found Mr. Anderson guilty of one count of felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
