Cybergenetics presents TrueAllele DNA validation and case studies at American Academy of Forensic Sciences meeting

Seattle, WA

Cybergenetics Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Mark Perlin gave two scientific presentations on the TrueAllele® Casework computer system at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences meeting in Seattle. His first talk described a validation of the system for interpreting DNA mixture evidence, establishing reproducibility and a million fold average information increase over human review on the same set of adjudicated case items. The second talk explained the three different DNA mixture interpretations reported in the Foley homicide trial, where one expert gave a CPI match statistic of 13 thousand, another expert stated 23 million, but TrueAllele used all the data to accurately infer 189 billion.
