New York State DNA Subcommittee scientists unanimously recommend regulatory approval of Cybergenetics TrueAllele for forensic casework

The DNA Subcommittee of the New York State (NYS) Commission on Forensic Science assessed ongoing scientific validation studies of Cybergenetics TrueAllele® Casework for two years. Over that time, DNA Subcommittee scientists reviewed multiple reports and 600 MB of supporting data. At this final meeting, TrueAllele presentations were made by Cybergenetics Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Mark Perlin, NYS Forensic Investigation Center (FIC) Associate Director Dr. Russell Gettig, and Suffolk County Crime Lab Supervisor Joseph Galdi. Following the presentations, the DNA Subcommittee voted unanimously to make a binding recommendation to approve TrueAllele for forensic casework.
